It is business as usual at DLA during the restrictions that have been imposed on all of us but we are keenly aware that for many people life has changed dramatically. These are challenging times for writers and photographers. Publishing houses continue to operate in spite of the closure of bookstores and, unsurprisingly, there has been a significant increase in ebook and audio sales for many titles. Supermarkets with book sections are also seeing an uplift in sales. Encouragingly, and in spite of the various obstacles confronting the industry, we have seen a raft of exciting new deals for our clients and we have welcomed several highly talented new clients to the agency in recent weeks. Overseas, some bookshops in Italy and Germany have reopened and we are in close contact with foreign language publishers who continue to acquire translation rights.
